Coverage Questions

What does the health insurance cover?

Our health insurance covers outpatient visits, inpatient care, specialist consultations, diagnostic tests, emergency services, ambulance transport, maternity care, and surgical procedures. The specific limits vary by plan (Deluxe, Deluxe Plus, or Super Deluxe).

What does the life insurance cover?

The life insurance provides financial protection for your beneficiaries in case of death or permanent disability. Coverage ranges from GH₵ 30,000 to GH₵ 80,000 depending on your chosen plan. It also includes end-of-life benefits to support funeral expenses.

Can I add multiple family members to one policy?

Yes! You can add dependents to your policy, including spouse, children, and parents. We offer family discounts of up to 12.5% when you cover multiple family members under one plan.

Are pre-existing conditions covered?

Pre-existing conditions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. You must declare all existing health conditions during the application process. Some conditions may have waiting periods or exclusions, which will be clearly communicated during approval.

Which hospitals and clinics can my family use?

Your family can access a wide network of accredited hospitals and clinics across Ghana. We work with both Hollard Life Insurance and ACE Medical Insurance provider networks. A complete list of facilities will be provided upon enrollment.

Claims & Process

How do I file a claim?

Claims can be filed by contacting our office at +233 559995097 or emailing [email protected]. You'll need to provide medical receipts, diagnosis reports, and your policy number. Most claims are processed within 5-7 business days.

What documents are needed for a claim?

Required documents include: completed claim form, original medical receipts, doctor's diagnosis and treatment report, prescription records (if applicable), hospital discharge summary (for inpatient care), and a copy of your insurance card.

How long does it take to process a claim?

Standard claims are processed within 5-7 business days. Emergency claims receive priority processing and are typically completed within 48-72 hours. You'll receive SMS and email notifications at each stage of the process.

Can I track my claim status?

Yes, you can track your claim status by calling our customer service line or sending an email with your claim reference number. We provide regular updates via SMS and email throughout the claims process.

What if my claim is denied?

If a claim is denied, you'll receive a detailed explanation. You have the right to appeal the decision within 30 days by providing additional documentation or clarification. Our team will review all appeals thoroughly.

Payment & Enrollment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers (local and international), mobile money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo), credit/debit cards, and direct debit arrangements. For diaspora clients, we also accept payments via Western Union, MoneyGram, and PayPal.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes! We offer flexible payment plans including monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual installments. A small processing fee may apply for installment payments. Annual payments receive a 5% discount.

How do I pay from abroad?

Diaspora clients can pay via international bank transfer, PayPal, Western Union, or MoneyGram. We provide detailed payment instructions with account information upon enrollment. All major currencies are accepted and converted at current exchange rates.

When does coverage begin after payment?

Coverage typically begins 24-48 hours after payment confirmation and application approval. You'll receive your insurance card and policy documents via email immediately upon activation.

What is your refund policy?

If you cancel within 14 days of enrollment and haven't made any claims, you're eligible for a full refund minus administrative fees. After 14 days, refunds are prorated based on the remaining coverage period.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at renewal time. Mid-term upgrades are allowed with payment of the difference, but downgrades typically take effect at the next renewal period.

Why are premiums shown in USD but benefits in different amounts?

All premiums are displayed in USD for convenience of our diaspora clients. However, benefit payments (health cover and life cover) will be paid in Ghana Cedis (GH₵) at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of accessing the service. This ensures your family receives the appropriate coverage based on local healthcare costs in Ghana.
